THE STORY OF TYRONE
Tyrone, The Terribly Terrific Turkey, is a bird on a mission. He hopes that someday other turkeys around the country will join him in his crusade. He believes that turkeys across America have been maligned and stereotyped ever since the Indians first introduced the Pilgrim to their first Thanksgiving meal.

Tyrone wants the country to know that turkeys are not dumb, not clumsy, and not ho hum. This is all media hype that started centuries ago with colony newspapers. This started so that humans did not feel so bad when they had Thanksgiving. And, over the years it has worked. Do you know anyone who is all that thrilled about turkeys. Are there any children's stories that have a turkey as the hero? Have there ever been any talking turkey shows in the history of TV? Remember when "He's a turkey" was a put down?

Tyrone wants to take turkeys back to their former status of centuries ago -- before the pilgrims. He has done his research; he knows that turkeys were revered at one time and he aims to get this esteem back.

In a society that demands perfection and good looks, Tyrone has gone for the gold. He has invested in feather creams, feather lengtheners, feather conditioners and feather dyes. (He refers to this as turkey dressing.) He has enrolled in turkey aerobics. He has gone to Charm School to gain charisma and panache. He has taken tennis and golf lessons. He has worked for years to perfect the media image he feels he needs and with this he plans to lead turkeys everywhere forward, and out of harms way. Tyrone is currently enrolled in several creative writing classes so that he can begin submitting newspaper/magazine articles, screen plays and sitcoms about dynamic turkeys.

This pattern is the first of many media events that Tyrone hopes will shape a brighter future of all turkeys everywhere.
